IMO Nokia make good hardware, but Symbian was not initially designed to be a smart smart phone. Besides inhouse development is costly.

I am looking for one too. I found that the pouch that is sold at the cellular outlets, does not sufficiently protect the device.
So importing a hard case would be best for me. But most of them does...
