WIFI Hotspot tethering not working

Hi there

I have an HTC HD2 with CyanogenMod 7 on it. My provider is Vodacom.

I have never had a problem using my phone as a hotspot before, but when I tried it yesterday, my iPad/Laptop connect to the phone but they have no internet connectivity. I have searched the web for two hours now and not a single post anywhere can definitely say what the problem is. Does anybody really know what the Vodacom APN settings are and can this be an issue or is it likely there is something wrong with my phone?

I experienced the same problem over the weekend. Centurion side... Your devices will connect to your mobile as it broadcasts a signal. But if your mobile can not connect to the internet, the other devices wont either as the tether through your mobiles connection.

So firstly, do you have internet access when you browse on you mobile? (turn off your hotspot)
