new galaxy tab owner needs help

Hello guys I just got a new tab gt-P1000 on MTN and its getting really expensive 4 me to use the internet...is it normal or are there advanced settings that I just don't knw about? Please help

if you are not careful you will find yourself burning a lot of money (which as your post suggests, you are quite familiar)

First things first i would suggest getting yourself data bundles. if you have no access to wifi then about 1gig per month should be able to satisfy you depending on your usage obviously.

There are however some tricks you can use to see how much bandwidth you are using per day/week/month.
download the 3G watchdog app. you can set limits per day/week/month where you can just set a warning or switch the data off completely.
