I don't get why you need an anti-virus app for your phone? Just pay attention to permissions, ratings and comments and you're good. Also don't give root access willy-nilly.

Hi guys am sure most of us with some sort of Windows PC have had an experience with Avast at some point.
I use it as my Antivirus on my PC and i love it. Its lite one memory resources and works like its supposed too. Nothing fancy.
So today i randomly searched the Play Store to see if they had an programs for Android and low and behold they have one. See link below.

The best part it seems like its one of the better free antivirus packages and compares much better than some of the paid ones. See link below.

What i love the most is that if u have a rooted phone it has even more features such as firewall as well as the option of linking it to ur rom (only Cynogenmod) so that if someone does a factory reset it comes back.
I am currently using it on my Tablet and it is awesome. Try it out and let me know what u think.
I am using Lookout Mobile on my Phone but i have a feeling i will be supplementing it with Avast if not completely erasing it.

I don't really see the need for antivirus. As Toby said, just take note of permissions etc...
