    Milestone Sensors at the top?

So i was using my phone outside in the sunlight the other day (yes, sad, I know ) and I noticed the sensors on the top of the phone. You can't easily see these under normal lighting conditions so I never noticed them before. Anyway, so when I got home I grabbed a torch and a magnifying glass and has a closer look. I know the first one on the left is the proximity / light sensor that switches off the screen during calls (I tested with my finger to make sure) But the thing is, the second one on the left looks just like a small front facing video call camera. My brother and I compared it to some of our Sony Ericsson phones and it looks just like a camera module.

I dont know what the one on the right is. Underneath it (and more to the right) is the notification LED

Nope, nothing in the manual or on the Motorola Developers hardware information page.

    Answers, I have them!

Ok, I know I'm very late to this party, but after watching an iFixit video on the iPhone 4S in which they had a look at it's proximity sensor, I had to check out my Milestone's! Whipped out the trusty digital camera, called my voicemail number and voila!!

    Result: I have your answer!

So from left to right, we have, the proximity sensor, the IR LED that the proximity sensor uses to judge proximity, ambient light sensor and RGB notification LED.
Look at this pic I took, you can see a faint purple dot where the second 'sensor' is, this is the IR LED

So thankfully no Big Brother, yet...
Oh another awfully nerdish fact that I discovered when meddling with the digital camera, the phone is so smart that it only 'activates' the proximity sensor ie IR LED starts flashing once the phone is near a vertical angle... pretty smart eh?

Ah ok. Cool. Thanks for the digging! Now we know.

I guess I was just hoping my phone had some hidden features we could unlock.
