    Rooting

I'm considering rooting my desire. Does anyone have any ideas on where i can step by step instructions? Also does anyone know if there is a froyo rom out there that has 'sense' integrated?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi 001slane. You can follow this link step by step: http://nimbu.amorvi.com/2010/05/how-...ur-htc-desire/

As for Froyo Roms on the Desire, I have no idea if there is one with the Sense UI. I don't think so. There are allot of apps you can download to replace some off the sense stuff. IMO you won't miss sense once you really play with a proper fast Rom
    Samsung Galaxy Note II GT-7100 - Rooted CWM - PhoeiniX ROM - XXDLK7 - JB 4.1.2 - RedPill Kernel
    HTC Desire - Rooted with Touch EXT4 - ParanoidAndroid - JB 4.1.2
Asus Transformer TF101 - Rooted with Clockwork Recovery - CyanogenMod - JB 4.1.2

I actually did a HUGE write up a few days ago, which included rooting. I'll post it quick and link you.

    Okay, here's the link

There's a link there that's about how to root a Desire. That's the guide I used and it took a couple of minutes

As for a Sense ROM, give OpenDesire a shot. That's the ROM I'm using now, and it seems to be the best Froyo ROM I've used yet. Find it here

Don't forget to flash that radio too

Only void the guarantee. Think of it this way, if something should happen, who will know (from LEAF, Vodacom, MTN, etc) how to check if it was Rooted? Drop it in the pool or toilet or something and claim from insurance. O, I did NOT tell you this...
