Ok, so this is long awaited, but here it is.
I decided to put the 2 phones against each other after actual usage and testing.
These are my own opinions, so dont criticise it too much!
Sorry, it was easier to put it in a picture format than copy from excel.

Very nicely done. I have also gained allot of respect for iPhone. I still prefer Android though. The biggest let down to iPhone has to be iTunes...
I actually disagree with quite a lot of the stuff you've written there. The iPhone is superior to the Desire in a number of those factors, but I still wouldn't buy one. Not because I'm an Android fanboy, but because I hate how closed iOS is, and because I think Steve Jobs is off his head.
The two places where the iPhone falls short are the customizability, and the Google integration. Google basically owns my life, so I need that integration, and I can't get that from Apple.

I put the phones next too each other and did pretty much the same things where I could.
I do agree with iOS though, but I would still need to Jailbrake it to see what it is capable of then.
These are both with stock systems.
I think we would have to do the same tests with a rooted Desire and a jailbroken iphone.
