Desire HD OTA gingerbread update released

Just got news that HTC is now rolling out the gingerbread update for the Desire HD.

Top of the support news feed. Not sure when this is coming to SA but technically it should be available soon.

Thank you for contacting Leaf.

The 2.3 Gingerbread firmware will only be available by the third week of May as the Rom is still being tested by the South African Networks.

Sigh, this is always the excuse from Leaf and network providers. As far as im aware Radio's need to be tested, not roms

Dont hold your breath my man... lol... I once had to wait 6 months from what they said 2 weeks. Thats why I started Rooting devices

I got a notification this morning, and am busy downloading Gingerbread as we speak!

Did you have to download it on your phone or do you have the option to download on your pc & how many megs are we talking here?

My first download failed "Update is corrupted". Trying again now.

I got a notification on my phone, and am using wifi to download. No obvious way to do it via PC, but I guess it should be possible. 101.66MB.
