Samsung Galaxy 10.1V ?

Hi There

My concern... I am following the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 story since the announcement a few months ago. I also listens to the androidcentral podcast, they normally play first with the new tech.

So, if I remember right, when the androidcentral chaps first reported on the 10.1, they did mention that the 10.1 was a bit bulky and that there was software issues. Software issue, I can understand and they do normally get sorted out.

Then Google I/O came, everyone there got a 10.1. But the 10.1 did change, a number of small changes. The back cover was different than the "first" release. The SA version got the old back cover.

Then there was a Sanmsung/androidcentral event in NY. It was like a pre-launch party, also no black back cover. Go have a look at this link : http://www.androidcentral.com/hands-...retail-edition

So here is my concern. The 10.1 has not even been released in the US, only on the 17 June 2011. Why was Vodafone getting these device before the states? Are we in SA getting old stock ? Did Samsung use South Africa/Aus or Vodafone as a dumping market for a earlier version of the 10.1. It is still a wonderful device, there is nothing wrong with it, I am just saying... How long are SA going to wait for Honeycomb 3.1 ? The US version come pre-installed with 3.1...

I am looking forward to pics of the officially launched 10.1 in the states.

Got my 10.1v on Tuesday - pretty cool gear.

Bought pouch come desktop stand from the Amazon UK (Sunny Saver package)

I will be envious of the 10.1 due here in August coz of the many accessories that it will spot

I have a tab10.1v but i am just wondering when we will get an update to 3.1 os...
I see almost no news on this on the web, which is kinda disturbing...
Also i really hope that they will make accessories for the 10.1v available. It would really suck if they now only bring out accessories for the 'new' 10.1 tab and leave the early adopters of the v version out to dry... :-(
I will even root and flash my device if need be, but there arent really any guides out on this yet. but would prefer an official update.

I also have the 10.1v Tablet. AWSOME piece of equipment, but Android 3.0.1 is still little buggy at the moment.

I know a supplier who has currently ordered stock of the 10.1 - I will post prices as soon as stock arrives (through legal channels, no gray imports)

Just a question: you say you bought the case&accessories pack from amazon (i assume its this one : http://goo.gl/dqXie), can you please advise of the quality?
I heard many complaints about some of the other pouches and that it does not fit correctly, or it covers openings etc...

Hi Everyone,

I am a newbie on this Forum. Have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying my Galaxy Tab 10.1v. Right now though I need a case, any suggestions? Does anyone know of a South African Supplier as well?
