Virgin Mobile has really been outdoing themselves with their contract pricing. First bringing the Samsung Galaxy S to the Classic 300 Contract which cost R320 per month,
gave you 1000 sms’s per month and additionally gives you R300 airtime per month … effectively, you just pay R20 per month for the phone (if you don’t consider the sms’s,
in which case you pay nothing for the phone).
The link to the Samsung Galaxy S contract can be found here: http://www.virginmobile.co.za/Store/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=4631&category_id=531&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=21
Now Virgin Mobile has gone a step further, to offer the HTC Desire HD on the same contract with the same free 1000 sms’s per month and R300 airtime per month. There is no direct
link on their website just yet, but at the time of writing this article, you can see the special on their front page on the right hand side at this link: http://www.virginmobile.co.za/
Based on the popularity of the HTC Desire HD, my guess is if they did have stock, it would probably have sold out and you might need to wait a few days or so, but it will be worth the wait.

Very good deal.. liking this one alot.
Might get it soon
I checked the deal out on Virgin, but something doesn’t quite seem right. They’ve advertised it as the Desire HD, but with a 5MP camera and 3.7″ screen – which is incorrect, those are the specs for the Desire S.
The Desire HD has a 4.3″ screen and 8MP camera.
So either someone at Virgin didn’t do their homework, or they’re BSing.
