Ever find yourself needing some fast food but you don’t know the area? Have a few friends over for a movie night and can’t decide on dinner? Or maybe you just need a menu of your favourite place but can’t find where you left it? Well, Mnuze is the solution to your fast food troubles.
Mnuze is a fast food and restaurant search app for android. It currently has approximately 1800 menus listed and if the restaurant you’re looking for isn’t in their search you can contact the developers from within the application via a message that pops up if your search fails. When you load the application, the main screen gives you a list of your most recently viewed restaurants in chronological order. Each listed item shows the name and location of the restaurant, an indication of whether they are currently open or not, and a user rating. The bottom of the main screen has the search, call history and rating options.
Hit the search button and you get a dialog box allowing you to select your required cuisine, an entry box for a name search, and your current location (determined via cell network towers or your internal GPS). If you just do a blank search in any category it lists all the restaurants and fast food places in order of distance from your current location. Touching on any of these gives you more details like the specific address and phone number, and if they do takeaways and deliveries. What makes this application really great is that you can view the menu, with prices! The restaurant info also shows if they have any current specials and there are links to call the restaurant directly or to view their location in google maps.
Almost all of the big franchises are listed, and many of the smaller ones, and these get updated continuously. The app is very stable and doesn’t use much data, so its cost effective too.
Overall Mnuze is a pretty straight foreward app, very useful, very well designed, and I think it will stay on my phone for a long time.
