This is by far the best Android phone I’ve seen yet! I think I’m even going to ditch my iPhone for it!
If only it were released, I would have bought one already….
When will the SE arc be available in SA…?
When will the Xperia Arc come to South Africa?
Man, I really can’t wait for the release
Release date: https://twitter.com/sonyericssonsa/status/54886226985099264
I read some stories stating that the Arc will run Android 2.4, Maybe later models will, sounds like a killer phone!
Vodacom say availability from END JULY 2011 only
Supposedly a shortage of chips post the earthquake / tsunami. July 2011 only, no exact news per autopage.
Htc here I come.
When will the SONY ERICSSON ARC be available in SA…?
I have been a loyal SE supporter ever since mobile networks started in this country and have had my name on the top of a waiting list for the Arc since March but this bad PR certainly takes the cake. A Vodacom outlet yesterday pushed the release date to August (in fact they hardly new what phone I was referring to). With the release of more advanced faster phones almost certain to pip this one at the post, SE has pretty much dug its own grave in this country and will no doubt sit with a similar problem later with this phone as it does now – too many X10s on the shelf not selling. Perhaps the name is appropriate since it will be something out of the Ark when/if it is eventually released! Mind you, what do the Swedes care anyway?
I’m like you A-Paul-ed. Exact same story as you and I’m fed up of waiting and being told ‘end of the month’ since May.
Also waiting for the Arc. Awesome phone. But nobody at Vodacom even knows what the hell I’m talking about when I ask them about it.
Just wish it would hurry up now. Been waiting since April, and do not want a Blackberry…
Perfection is worth waiting for.
Well Android 2.4 sounds like it is worth the wait. I am experiencing a similar challenge as it so turns out that most of the cellphone outlets hardly know latest models of smartphones and it irritates me being told the same answer each time, “We don’t know Sir” .I can’t stand such incompetency, surely they ought to know since they are in the business of selling smartphones, well news flash for you cellphone outlets, google the phrase,”first mover advantage”
My choice of smartphones, Blackberry torch 9850/9860/ Iphone 5 / Sony Experia Arc….
I got one the day ot came out
!! its is a asim phone !!
